International approvals
EN1568, UL 162, IMO 1312, ICAO Level B
Application
Fomtec Enviro 3x3 NEO is intended for Class B hydrocarbon fuels and polar solvents including heptane, jet fuel, hexane, acetone, ethanol, methanol, IPA, MEK and esters. It is developed for high-risk petrochemical plants, oil and gas installations, marine and offshore facilities, and industrial areas where flammable liquids present a major fire hazard. The product is suitable for mobile firefighting and fixed foam systems using low and medium expansion discharge devices.
Fire performance & Foaming
The foam forms a stable blanket that blocks oxygen supply and cools the fuel surface, reducing vapor release and preventing re-ignition. On polar solvents, a polymeric membrane is formed to secure effective extinguishment. Average expansion ratio is approximately 7:1 with controlled drainage characteristics for long burn-back resistance. The foam is effective at 3 percent proportioning and performs reliably with both fresh and seawater.
Compatibility
Compatible with conventional aspirating discharge devices, foam branch pipes, monitors and CAF systems. Suitable for gentle and forceful application methods. Can be used with foam compatible powders and other expanded foams. Suitable for all water types.
Environmental
Fluorine-free and biodegradable formulation with no intentionally added fluorinated surfactants or polymers. Manufactured using environmentally selected raw materials and registered in the European REACH database. Non-hazardous formulation supporting sustainable fire protection strategies.
Storage/Shelf life
Stored in original unopened packaging, the product provides a long shelf life exceeding ten years under temperate storage conditions. Shelf life depends on storage temperature and handling conditions. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations.
Inspection/Testing/Maintenance
All foam concentrates should be tested annually by approved laboratories according to relevant standards including EN 1568, NFPA 11 and IMO guidelines. Storage containers should be regularly inspected for suitability and stable temperature conditions.
