IMPA:
Fomtec ARC Miljø 3x3, a high performance fluorine free alcohol resistant foam, is developed for reliable marine firefighting foam protection against hydrocarbon and polar solvent fuel fires. The concentrate forms a stable foam blanket that rapidly suppresses vapours and prevents re ignition. Designed for maritime and industrial fire protection systems, it provides efficient fire control while supporting modern environmental requirements for fluorine free firefighting agents.

Application
Fomtec ARC Miljø 3x3 is designed for extinguishing fires involving both hydrocarbon fuels and polar solvents. The foam is suitable for fixed foam systems, mobile firefighting equipment and foam proportioning systems used onboard vessels, offshore platforms and industrial fuel handling installations.
Fire performance & Foaming
The foam forms a stable blanket that blocks oxygen supply and cools the fuel surface, reducing vapor release and preventing re-ignition. On polar solvents, a polymeric membrane is formed to secure effective extinguishment. Average expansion ratio is approximately 7:1 with controlled drainage characteristics for long burn-back resistance. The foam is effective at 3 percent proportioning and performs reliably with both fresh and seawater.
Compatibility
The foam concentrate is compatible with most conventional foam proportioning and discharge equipment. It can be used with standard low expansion foam systems commonly installed in marine and industrial fire protection systems. System compatibility should be verified during installation and commissioning.
Environmental
Fomtec ARC Miljø 3x3 is formulated without intentionally added fluorinated surfactants. The fluorine free composition supports modern environmental standards and reduces long term environmental impact compared with traditional fluorinated foams.
Storage/Shelf life
When stored in original sealed containers under recommended storage conditions, the foam concentrate offers long term stability. Storage areas should be cool, dry and protected from direct sunlight or freezing temperatures.
Inspection/Testing/Maintenance
Foam concentrates should be inspected regularly as part of the vessel or facility fire protection maintenance programme. Periodic testing of foam quality, proportioning accuracy and system performance ensures reliable firefighting capability and compliance with operational safety requirements.
