Fomtec Enviro Sea 1%, a
fluorine free firefighting foam developed for marine firefighting foam systems, is designed for effective control of Class B hydrocarbon fuel fires. The foam concentrate delivers reliable fire suppression while maintaining a strong environmental profile, making it suitable for modern vessels and offshore installations requiring fluorine-free solutions.
Equipment
Fomtec Enviro Sea 1 is used in marine firefighting foam systems on ships, offshore platforms, terminals and industrial installations where fluorine-free foam concentrates are required for hydrocarbon fire protection.
Packaging
Supplied in 20 liter, 25 liter, 200 liter or 1000 liter IBC containers. Larger bulk supply is available on special request.
International approvals
Application
Fomtec Enviro Sea 1% is designed for use in marine firefighting systems protecting machinery spaces, deck areas, loading zones and fuel storage locations where hydrocarbon fuels present a fire risk. The foam concentrate can be used in fixed or mobile foam systems installed onboard vessels, offshore installations or land-based industrial facilities.
Fire performance & Foaming
The foam concentrate forms a stable foam blanket that spreads across the fuel surface and suppresses vapor release. This creates an effective barrier between fuel and oxygen while providing cooling and rapid fire knockdown. The foam is designed for efficient performance in low and medium expansion foam systems commonly installed in maritime fire protection systems.
Compatibility
Fomtec Enviro Sea 1% is compatible with typical foam proportioning equipment, foam monitors, sprinkler systems and foam chambers used in marine and industrial fire protection systems. The foam concentrate can normally be applied using standard proportioning systems designed for fluorine-free foams.
Environmental
The product is a fluorine free firefighting foam with no intentionally added PFAS substances. This improves environmental performance compared with traditional fluorinated foams and supports the transition towards environmentally responsible fire protection solutions in the maritime industry.
Storage/Shelf life
When stored in original sealed containers and protected from extreme temperatures, the foam concentrate maintains a long operational shelf life. Storage should follow standard recommendations for firefighting foam concentrates, including protection from contamination and direct sunlight.
Inspection/Testing/Maintenance
Regular inspection and foam testing should be carried out in accordance with marine safety regulations and fire protection maintenance procedures. Periodic foam quality testing ensures the concentrate continues to meet operational requirements and maintains reliable performance in firefighting systems.
