Application
Fomtec FP 3% AR is a fluoroprotein alcohol resistant foam concentrate designed for extinguishing fires involving hydrocarbon fuels and polar solvents such as alcohols, esters and ketones. The foam forms a protective polymer membrane on polar fuels and a stable foam blanket on hydrocarbons, providing effective fire suppression in marine and industrial fire protection systems.
Fire performance & Foaming
The foam concentrate provides excellent knock down performance, foam stability and burnback resistance. When mixed at 3% concentration, the foam creates a durable foam blanket that prevents fuel vapor release and rapidly suppresses flames. The formulation delivers stable foam expansion and drainage characteristics for reliable firefighting performance.
Compatibility
Fomtec FP 3% AR can be used with most standard foam proportioning systems and discharge equipment, including monitors, foam chambers, foam pourers and sprinkler based foam systems. It is compatible with aspirating and non aspirating foam devices commonly installed in marine and industrial firefighting systems.
Environmental
The product is developed for professional firefighting use and meets relevant international firefighting performance standards. When handled and disposed of according to local regulations, the foam concentrate supports responsible environmental management in industrial and maritime applications.
Storage/Shelf life
The foam concentrate should be stored in original sealed containers and protected from extreme temperatures. Under recommended storage conditions the product maintains a long shelf life and stable firefighting performance over extended storage periods.
Inspection/Testing/Maintenance
Foam systems using Fomtec FP 3% AR should be inspected and tested according to recognized marine and industrial fire safety standards. Routine inspection of foam concentrate quality, proportioning equipment and discharge devices ensures reliable operation in emergency situations.
