Application
Fomtec AFFF 3 Ultra LT is intended for firefighting operations involving
hydrocarbon fuels including crude oil, gasoline, diesel and aviation fuels. The foam concentrate is widely used in
marine fire protection systems, offshore platforms, tank storage terminals, refineries, airports and industrial facilities where rapid fire control and reliable extinguishing performance are required.
Fire performance & Foaming
The foam produces a stable
aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) that spreads quickly across the fuel surface. This film suppresses fuel vapours and prevents re-ignition. The foam blanket provides excellent cooling and
burn-back resistance, ensuring effective fire suppression and long-lasting protection during firefighting operations.
Compatibility
The concentrate is suitable for use with standard
foam proportioning equipment, including balanced pressure systems, in-line inductors, bladder tanks and foam monitors. It can be applied using
low expansion foam equipment such as nozzles, sprinklers and foam chambers typically installed in marine and industrial fire protection systems.
Environmental
The formulation is designed for efficient fire suppression while maintaining controlled environmental performance according to internationally recognized firefighting standards. Proper handling and disposal should always follow local environmental regulations and safety procedures.
Storage/Shelf life
When stored in original sealed containers and protected from extreme temperatures,
Fomtec AFFF 3 Ultra LT typically provides a long service life. Storage should be in dry, well-ventilated areas and containers must remain tightly closed to maintain product quality.
Inspection/Testing/Maintenance
Regular inspection and testing of foam concentrate and firefighting systems are recommended to ensure reliable performance. Foam quality, proportioning equipment and storage conditions should be periodically verified in accordance with marine safety regulations and fire protection maintenance procedures.
