PTR Holland currently describes this product as an air/electric drive pilot ladder reel for hoisting the pilot ladder. Its current product documentation identifies the reel against IMO Resolution A.1045(27), section 7.5 on mechanical securing of pilot ladder winch reels, and lists a Lloyd’s Register Factual Statement.
Revised SOLAS V/23 requirements take effect from 1 January 2028 and introduce new mandatory performance standards for pilot transfer arrangements. Existing and new winch/reel arrangements should therefore be reviewed against the applicable vessel transition date and installation requirements before any product specific compliance statement is made.
