• When to Use:
  The Lifesmoke MK9 is designed for daylight use only and is primarily intended for stowage in liferafts. It is used to mark a position during rescue operations and to indicate wind direction. The device is safe to use on water surfaces covered with oil or petrol. It conforms to SOLAS 74/88 regulations as amended.


• Requirements:
  Two Lifesmoke signals are required for carriage in SOLAS liferafts and lifeboats. Two are also supplied in RORC (Royal Ocean Racing Club) and Offshore leisure kits.

  2. Pull the plastic tab sharply away from the body of the device.
  
  
  3. A 2-second delay allows time to throw the canister downwind into the water.
