Key Features
The MERMAN Firefighter Balaclava provides additional thermal protection for areas around the head, neck and shoulders that may otherwise be exposed between the firefighter’s helmet and protective clothing.
The hood features a double-layer construction made from 220 ± 10 g/m² meta-aramid/Nomex fabric, with Nomex sewing thread used throughout. The inherently flame-resistant material is designed not to drip or melt when exposed to heat and also provides anti-static properties.
A large, well-fitted face opening allows the balaclava to be comfortably worn under a firefighter helmet, while the extended neck skirt provides additional coverage over the shoulders, front and back.
Flat seam stitching, lightweight construction and soft materials provide comfort during use without compromising the protective coverage required for demanding firefighting operations.
