The 1SEA Brass Fog Gong with Beater is a marine sound-signalling device for vessels requiring a gong under applicable COLREG arrangements.
The gong is intended for prescribed sound signals in fog and other conditions of restricted visibility. The brass body provides a clear resonant sound, while the soft beater is supplied for operation.
Under COLREG Rule 33, vessels 100 metres or more in length carry a gong in addition to a whistle and bell. Confirm the applicable flag-state, class and vessel requirements before installation.
