The Francis FL710 2000â3000W Halogen Suez Canal Searchlight is a large heavy duty searchlight designed for vessels requiring a Suez Canal searchlight installation. The FL710 can be configured for single or split beam operation and incorporates a lamp changeover system so a spare lamp can be brought into service following lamp failure.
The optical system supports 2kW and 3kW halogen lamps and is designed for demanding marine operation. Depending on voltage, lamp and beam configuration, Francis specifies single beam ranges of approximately 1,928 to 2,407 metres, with split beam arrangements available for the required canal operating pattern.
Francis offers single beam and split beam arrangements using different 115V and 240V lamp configurations. The external focusing system allows the beam divergence to be adjusted, while the split beam creates two illuminated sections with a dark centre as required for the application.
