The following technical information applies only to markets and applications where

AMERSTAT® 25DM may lawfully be supplied and used.

AMERSTAT® 25DM is a concentrated oil-soluble biocide

with a density greater than water. This allows it to migrate into the water phase at

the bottom of fuel tanks, where microbial colonies typically develop. The product is

designed for use with residual and distillate fuels stored in systems

compliant with ISO 8217.

Dosage Guidelines

• Routine maintenance:
  
  1:25,000, equivalent to 1 litre per 25 tonnes of fuel


• Initial treatment of contaminated systems:
  
  1:12,500, equivalent to 1 litre per 12.5 tonnes of fuel


• Retreatment is recommended every four weeks or following each new fuel delivery

Application Instructions

• Preferred method:
  
  Add the product directly to the water bottoms through the drain valve or tank sounding
  
  pipe before bunkering.


• Alternative methods:
  
  Slug feed through top access points or inject continuously during loading.


• Sampling and testing:
  
  Inspect the system every three to four months using the onboard
  
  Sulfate Reducers Test Set, PCN 1701019.
