The collection brings together a wide variety of laminated-wood, solid-wood and metal-frame chairs, providing extensive possibilities for configuration, upholstery and finish.

Different spaces on board require different seating solutions. The 1SEA collection therefore includes everything from simple wooden chairs and upholstered-seat models to full-comfort versions and chairs with armrests.
Depending on the chair series, different configurations are available, allowing the same basic design to be adapted to different areas and requirements.
Across the main wood-chair programme, customers can choose from:

Several chair series are available in up to six different configurations.
Upholstery for Different Requirements
The 1SEA upholstery programme includes five Mercis collections covering different requirements for durability, appearance, cleaning and fire performance.
Options include durable woven polyester fabrics, water-repellent upholstery and hard-wearing artificial leather. Selected fabrics achieve a Martindale rating above 100,000 cycles, while other options provide wipe-clean, waterproof or antimicrobial properties.
For projects requiring enhanced upholstery fire performance, Mercis Bombay FR provides documented performance according to EN 1021-2, BS 5852 Source 1 + Crib 5 and UNI 9175 Classe 1.IM.
This makes it possible to select upholstery according to the intended application – from general accommodation and common areas to higher-use seating and environments requiring frequent or more demanding cleaning.
Flexible Furniture for Commercial Vessels
With numerous chair designs, configurations, colours and finishes available, the collection provides considerable freedom when selecting furniture for both newbuilding and refurbishment projects.
Furniture and upholstery requirements can vary depending on vessel type, flag State, classification society and the space in which the furniture will be installed. Where specific fire-performance or approval requirements apply, these should therefore be identified as part of the project specification before final selection.
Whether the requirement is for individual replacement chairs or furniture for a larger project, the 1SEA collection provides a flexible range of options from one source.
