IMPA:
The Respirex GTR Regular Robustness Gas-Tight Suit is a Type 1A-ET limited-life encapsulating suit designed to protect emergency responders against toxic or corrosive gases, liquids, and solid chemicals. Manufactured from DuPont™ Tychem® TK, a high-performance, multi-layer, nonwoven chemical barrier fabric, this suit offers lightweight yet robust protection. Its fully encapsulating design accommodates Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) worn inside the suit, ensuring comprehensive protection in hazardous environments.
Material: DuPont™ Tychem® TK, a high-performance, multi-layer, nonwoven chemical barrier fabric.
Design: Fully encapsulating suit allowing SCBA to be worn inside.
Zipper: Gas-tight zip running from side of head to lower thigh, covered by a zip flap with hook-and-loop fastener.
Glove System: Dual glove system consisting of a Kemblok™ chemical barrier inner glove bonded to an outer neoprene glove for mechanical protection.
Visor: Large chemically resistant flexible visor for a wide field of view.
Sleeves: Bat-wing sleeves allow the wearer to remove their hand from the glove to check gauges and other equipment inside the suit.
Support Belt: Adjustable internal support belt for enhanced comfort.
Feet Options:
Fixed Hazmax™ FPA chemical safety boots.
Detachable Hazmax™ FPA boots attached by a locking ring.
Sock feet with outer splash guard legs for use with the customer's own chemical safety boots.
Exhalation Valves: Two valves maintain a comfortable working pressure inside the suit.
Testing: Internal pressure test to ISO 17491-1:2012 conducted prior to dispatch to confirm the suit is gas-tight.
Shelf Life: Five-year maintenance-free shelf life, with annual tests from year 5 up to a maximum shelf life of 10 years.
