IMPA:
Protect your fuel systems from microbial contamination with MERGAL® MC14, a highly effective and fast-acting marine biocide. Specially formulated for marine fuels, biofuels, and biodiesel blends, MERGAL MC14 offers rapid microbial kill rates to prevent fuel spoilage, system corrosion, and operational downtime. Whether you're battling sulfate-reducing bacteria or acid-producing microorganisms, MERGAL MC14 ensures long-lasting protection and fuel system reliability.
Fast-Acting Biocide: Kills harmful microbes quickly to restore fuel quality.
Prevents Corrosion: Protects fuel tanks and pipelines from microbially induced corrosion (MIC).
Stops H₂S Formation: Avoid the risk of hydrogen sulfide build-up and unpleasant odors.
Maintains Fuel Stability: Keeps fuel clean and improves energy efficiency.
Minimizes Downtime: Reduces filter clogging and mechanical failures caused by microbial sludge.
Safe and Compliant: Fully compliant with ECHA BPR Volume 5 Article 95 regulations.
Ideal for All Marine Fuels: Suitable for conventional marine fuels, biodiesel, and hybrid blends.
MERGAL® MC14 is a concentrated liquid biocide containing 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (CMIT) and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MIT). Designed for use in fuel systems, this slimicide reduces bacteria and fungi using standard ASTM E1259 methods.
