IMPA:
The Drew Marine Potable Water Test Kit-C is a comprehensive solution designed for shipboard personnel to regularly test the drinking water on board, ensuring it meets safety standards for human consumption. This kit facilitates compliance with the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) 2006 and U.S. EPA regulations by enabling monitoring of key water quality parameters.
Free & Total Chlorine: Utilizes U.S. EPA-approved DPD colorimetric ampoule tests to measure chlorine levels in the ranges of 0–1 ppm and 1–5 ppm.
pH & Temperature: Includes a digital pH tester (pHTestr 30) with automatic temperature compensation, ensuring accurate readings for maintaining disinfectant efficacy.
Total Coliforms & E. coli: Employs Readycult® snap packs for detecting bacterial contamination. After adding the reagent to a 100 mL water sample, the mixture is incubated at 34.5°C to 37°C for 18–24 hours. A color change indicates the presence of coliforms, and a UV lamp is used to confirm E. coli through fluorescence.
