The 8mm Lifebuoy Line in Plastic Container is a compact, ready-to-deploy man-overboard (MOB) recovery line system, engineered for use in SOLAS-compliant marine and offshore environments. The unit is designed for permanent installation in proximity to a lifebuoy and provides a quick-access flotation line during MOB incidents.
The system includes a high-visibility 8 mm floating rope, stored in a sealed plastic container constructed from UV-stabilized, impact-resistant polymer. The container protects the rope from degradation caused by saltwater exposure, ultraviolet radiation, and mechanical damage, ensuring long-term readiness in harsh environments.
The 8 mm line is manufactured from a lightweight, buoyant synthetic fibre, offering excellent handling characteristics and high resistance to rot, mildew, and water absorption. Rope length is configured to meet standard rescue distances 30 metres for vessels or dockside use .
The unit is suitable for bulkhead, railing, or bracket mounting. This product is compliant with IMO and SOLAS guidelines for life-saving appliance installations.
