Danish Maritime

Danish Maritime serves as an industry association dedicated to supporting Danish manufacturers of maritime equipment and ships. Our overarching goal is to ensure the continuous success and global competitiveness of the Danish maritime industry by actively promoting favorable framework conditions. We foster and initiate cooperation among our member businesses across various domains, acting as a central knowledge hub that furnishes our members, public authorities, and the media with the latest relevant information on the maritime sector. By bringing together our member businesses in a meaningful network, we enable and ensure fruitful collaboration with other parts of the Danish as well as international maritime clusters.

Danish Maritime has emerged as a recognized political actor and consulting partner within the maritime realm. We maintain strong collaborative ties with Danish and European politicians and civil servants, actively engaging in the work of esteemed bodies such as the European Shipyards’ and maritime equipment association SEA Europe, while also regularly participating in multiple committees of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

One of the distinguishing factors of Danish maritime manufacturers is their commitment to offering highly environmentally and climate-friendly solutions. Their products and solutions not only meet current standards and legislation but often go above and beyond, positioning them as frontrunners prepared for future standards and demands. While upholding the significance of high environmental standards, Danish Maritime also emphasizes the importance of equitable rules and legislation that are universally applicable across the international and highly competitive maritime industry. We strive to establish a level playing field that ensures fair competition while maintaining elevated environmental standards.
